On this show, we have open and honest conversations about all phases of motherhood, including fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, menopause, and everything in between.
We also provide helpful education and information on fitness, the pelvic floor, and many aspects of women's health, including physical, mental, and emotional wellness. Please remember as you listen to this podcast that this is not meant to treat or diagnose any medical conditions. Please contact your medical provider if you have specific questions or concerns.
Thanks so much for joining us. Grab a cup of coffee. Or wine. And enjoy!
Dayna and Rhonda here. We are just hopping on today to give you a quick preview of what you can expect in this podcast and why we wanted to. Share it with you. All right. So in the time that you're listening to this podcast, we are still in the middle of a global pandemic. And at the beginning of the pandemic, a lot of people moved online, uh, physios included.
And Dayna and I started having some Instagram live chats online and realized we just had a ton to talk about. And so the idea of starting a podcast came up. And then hashtag mom life happened and it didn't happen for a while But we are here now and excited to share with you all everything that we know We are planning on sharing a lot about our own personal journeys, um, having some good conversations with each other, uh, we obviously get along very well, about what we've learned in motherhood and life and women's health, but then also bringing on some people who we know in this field from many different realms, who we hope will provide you and ourselves a little selfishly with some information to help guide us along this journey.
So Dayna and I met in physio school, which was how long ago now? Oh gosh, we graduated in 2009. Yeah, so many years ago. Over 10 years ago. And since then, um, we'll share our personal stories of what brought us into the women's health area. But we both realized that even as physiotherapists, we were pretty clueless when it came to anything about women's health, healing our own bodies, and also bodies of our clients.
So that's why we're so passionate about sharing this information with the world. Right, and I think that's such an important point that Um, you know, as physios, we didn't really know as moms, certainly you don't get sent home with a instruction booklet on how to be a mom or, you know, what to do with those little babies when they're screaming at 2am.
So just hopefully providing some insights that you are not alone, whatever you're going through, but also maybe providing some laughter and information and, um, education along the way. Yeah, so we're gonna keep it pretty informal and just kind of chat with you and just pretend that we're sitting and having a coffee or a glass of wine with you as you listen along.
Uh, we hope you enjoy these conversations as we know we are going, as much as we know we are going to, and enjoy!
