Today she will be sharing with you her 5 simple actions to prioritize your pleasure outside of the bedroom…

Hey mama, if you're in a season of life where you have no time, energy or desire for pleasure or sex, you're not alone. So many mothers are exhausted, tired, burnt out, and have very little time for pleasure in their daily lives, not just in the immediate postpartum phase, but also many years into parenting. Raising kids is time-consuming and it can be challenging to intentionally make time for your pleasure.

You may not feel like you have time to prioritize your needs, but what if I tell you that you can make space for your pleasure daily? When you cultivate a practice of pleasure, what you'll find is that your overall libido and sexual pleasure also grows!

Here are 5 simple actions to prioritize your pleasure outside of the bedroom:

  1. In the shower, focus on the soothing sensation of the water running down your back. Close your eyes and let yourself feel your tension melt away. You can also try bathing with your partner and find a moment to connect.

  2. When putting lotion on, rub it in gentle circles, giving careful attention to your frown lines and jaw, around your lips, belly, butt and thighs.

  3. When getting dressed, let your hand linger around your nipples, your butt, and your inner thighs a moment longer. Pause and let yourself feel the pleasure of self-touch.

  4. Close your eyes and savour that first sip of coffee, tea or water. Put away the screens, shut out the kids' demands, and notice the taste of the delicious liquid inside your mouth as it slides down your throat. Bonus points if you're drinking water first, because water helps with pelvic floor muscle strength AND with vaginal lubrication!

  5. Sleep in luxurious lingerie, fully naked or without pants on. It's good for your vulva to have air flow anyway, plus it’s a great way to build sexual self-esteem and feel your sexiest self when you wake up.
